Welcome Albuquerque EAA Chapter 179

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so. Please come to our next meeting or event as our guest.

EAA Chapter 179 was chartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 29th, 1963.  It was the first EAA Chapter in the State of New Mexico and has been in continuous operation to the present day.

The Chapter holds monthly meetings the third Tuesday of each month at the Copper Canyon Cafe, located at 5455 Gibson SE, Albuquerque NM.  These meetings feature: presentations on many aspects of aviation, resource sharing by pilots and builders, and a friendly get-together for members and visitors.  You have to eat dinner anyway so you might as well stop by and visit with us, we don't bite (much).
